“Often, stepping outside your comfort zone is not careless irresponsibility, but a necessary act of obedience” Andy Stanley.
Stepping out of your comfort zone
Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings;
Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left.
When we have to move out of our comfort zone, whether it is our country, a new job or in a new life in Jesus, we will experience change. This will stretch, strengthen and expand our tents. We need to be bold in faith to take up this challenge and to look to Him who will lead us.
Jesus said to Peter “come”; so Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water having his eyes on Jesus. This was a change for him which he never anticipated, but the call came from the Lord. We too have to be prepared for His call at any time and be willing to look at Jesus.
Lets also, for a moment, look at the others in the boat. All of them saw Jesus, but none of them wanted to get off the boat. They feared the circumstances and never wanted to walk out of it.
Today God is calling us out of our comfort zone; to get off our boats of failure and doubt and seek His face. He wants us to walk on water, that is to walk by faith and move out of our past.
I come to You in Jesus’ name and ask You to give me the strength to walk out of my past. The circumstance around me weakens me. But today I shall have my eyes on You and will walk out of my situations trusting You. Amen.
God bless you,
